Anna Molka Ahmed started the Great Arts Department of the University of the Punjab in 1940 and nurtured the first technology of Pakistani artists there. She assimilated european painting methods, discovered during her schooling in London, with indigenous themes and some ideas that formed contemporary artwork in Pakistan. Her roles as artist, educator, and administrator remain unparalleled. Colin David was one of the three students in the first type for guys at the Office of Great Arts, College of the Punjab, along with Sufi Waqar and Aslam Minhas. His stint at the Slade College of Artwork London in 1973, offered a brand new impetus to his work. His compositions of numbers, coupled with still-life objects in properly controlled room, create a Surrealistic ambiance. Shaukat Mahmood deals in lines; lines that talk and speak loudly, sarcastically and piercingly. After doing his Masters in Fine Arts from the Fine Arts Division, he proceeded to have a PhD in Islamic Structure from Edinburgh College, UK. Presently, he’s the Coordinator of the Study Middle at the College of Artwork and Design. When he joined a newspaper as a cartoonist, he arrived to relationship with distinguished poet Munir Niazi, who entitled him as Maxim. As Maxim the Cartoonist, he seems everyday in a Lahore centered newspaper. As a cultural commentator, he has been commenting on very critical issues together with his naughty lines and uproarious characters.
Khalid Mahmood did his MA Great Arts from the University of the Punjab, Lahore and then MA Art-History from Hawaii University, USA. His study on’Sikh murals of the Punjab’gained him a doctorate from the University of the Punjab. He’s offered the Team of Fine Arts as Chairman. His passions, today are very much indigenous in terms of subject matter but modern styles of painting especially Impressionism, has long been an inspiration for his technique. After obtaining a Experts degree from the Great Arts Division of the Punjab School Lahore, she continued to do her MA in Artwork and Style in 1995 and practice-led PhD in Fine Arts in 2010 from Kingston College London. She also offered the University of Artwork and Design as its key from 2009 to 2013.
